What Turbi collects
Collected
- The page's host and path. Query strings are dropped except UTM campaign tags.
- The referring site, and the campaign tags and ad click IDs used to classify traffic sources.
- Country, region and city, read from the request at our edge. The IP address itself is never stored.
- Browser, operating system, device type and screen width.
- How long the page was visible, and the events and parameters your site sends.
Never collected
- Cookies or anything stored in the visitor's browser.
- IP addresses, full user-agent strings or fingerprints.
- The text of what people click or type.
How visitors are counted without cookies
Turba Digital combines a random value that changes every day with the site, the visitor's IP address and their browser's user agent, and keeps only a hash of the result. The daily value is deleted after two days, so the same person can't be linked across days or across sites. That's why "users" over a date range is the sum of daily users.
Opting out
Turbi stays quiet for visitors with Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control turned on, and for anyone who sets localStorage.turbi_ignore.
